This is a Bluetooth Andriod or iOS smartphone app based Plug-and-Play option to get RACE (aka full power/full system exhaust compatible) mapping on your RSV4

When you buy this product, you get the Up-Map T800+ module, the cable, and then download the respective app on your Android or iOS smartphone.

This is a full power RACE only ECU flash for the RSV4. All rider aid functions are retained, all dashboard functionality is retained.

Most importantly, this is a safe and correct way to run an aftermarket exhaust with no catalytic converter and allows removal of the exhaust flapper servo's and or the EGR system components with no error or check engine lights.

The Upmap comes with two maps:

Stock map (to restore the ECU to OEM status )
The other map is a Gabro Racing tuned map: surf the map store via the App and choose the tuned map applicable to your bike mods. (Read map descriptions carefully!) Use the promo code GRTMAP to download it for free!

Again, the code to access the map is GRTMAP. Code is valid only for UpMaps sold by AF1 Racing.

Peak power gains with this ecu flash are marginal; test bikes showed between 1 and 4 horsepower peak, when used with an Akrapovic or SC Project exhaust. Biggest gains are in mid range rpms where power improvements are consistently 4-6 hp.

*If installing on on '09-'16 RSV4 (all variants) assuming your stock ECU is fully updated and the bike has no active errors. Even if certain you are on the latest mapping, a trip to the dealer (for use of the dealer diagnostic computer) may be required due to the several different protocols used throughout the V4 production run (ABS, no ABS; Quick Shift, no Quick Shift; Wheel Speed Data routing, and so on). Again, a trip to the dealer may be required but is not mandatory. You should only book an appointment with your dealer if you lose some rider aid functionality after the reflash. On '11-'16 RSV4 this is rare.

***You should be EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE with ECU flashing and remapping, use of OBD II type scanners and running developer mode on your smart phone before purchasing this product.

Some additional use and activation notes from the app and map developer are below.

Using this tool you’ll be able to flash Gabro’s (Race) maps in minutes, and restore your bike stock map anytime if needed. You can buy in App and store in your phone all the tuned maps you want and flash any particular one in your bike ECU even during a ride stop. After each flash the tool automatically perform throttle and handle learnings.

Purchasing the UpMap Aprilia you will get access to the whole huge database of tuned maps made by the Aprilia ECU’s master tuner Gabro in his last 10+ years activity.

All available maps in the App have been accurately prepped on the dyno and fine-tuned on track/street using complete data logging systems, and extensively tested prior being released.

*2009-2010 RSV4 (pre-Aprc):

After the UpMap reflash you may lose the speed indication at the dash. It’s because your bike was not updated to Aprc map before. To correct it you need to do an Aprc Traction Control switch-off via an external diag tool. In the while, by the same tool you’ll be able to activate the Aprc Quick Shift function: quick shift is already present in any available UpMap map and will work as soon as the necessary hardware will be connected to the bike wiring loom.

Note 1:

Once logged in the app and connected/paired the tool and app to the bike, you can download the stock map for restore.

Then go to the map store and download the race map using the coupon code

Each T800+ marries only one ECU/Bike, so it can be used on your bike only.

Note 2:

Initial slow speed file transfer due to bluetooth instability has been solved. UpMap can be used on both Android and IOS phone/tablets.

The flashing process lasts about 15min, this new Marelli 11MP ECU stores a very big map file and needs time to download and write it down.

It is strongly recommended to use a battery tenders on the bike battery and to keep your smartphone plugged into it's charger during the flashing process.

Note 3:

By the end of the flash the T800+ automatically performs throttle learning and errors reset. It will ask you to key-off/key-on the bike.

Once the ECU has been flashed you can choose if remove the Upmap T800+ module from the bike or leave it connected. It goes standby after 30 minutes of bluetooth inactivity. Battery drain from the UpMap during standby is negligible.

*Please Note: For reasons equally frustrating and inconceivable, UpMap does not allow one owner to manage several bikes under a signal UpMap account. In other words, you are only allowed 1 bike per user email address in the UpMap app. If you already have a bike with an UpMap and purchase a second bike that you want to put an UpMap on, you will need to register a new account with a separate email address.
