Though the stock RSV4 subframe is already aluminum and farily lightweight, it does have some bracing present that allows the bike securely seat a passenger.

This DB Holders piece has been waisted down as much as possible and does not have any of the additional bracing or reinforcements that you'd need to carry a passenger, so it ends up being 25% lighter than the stock unit.

The design of this part does allow you to retain the battery, ABS pump, and fuseholder in the stock position, so it installs in very much the same way.

*Please note: This subframe does not have any provision for re-installating your brakelight or license plate bracket assembly.

**Please note: You cannot carry a passenger if this subframe has been fitted.

***Some owners have noted pairs of symetric dots on on both the LH and RH upper support beam. These are not damage and are actually fixturing points for final assembly and painting of the part. They are typically covered by the riveted-on DBHolder badges.
