Reports are that the rear end of the Tuareg is particularly undersprung. (Stock spring is 8.3kg/mm)

This spring from Eibach is available in several different rates to suit different rider weights.

Springs are straight/linear rate and are not progressively wound.

As a very general guideline:

9.0 spring is for riders from 180 to 200 lbs
9.7 spring is for riders from 200 to 215 lbs
9.9 spring is for riders from 215 to 230 lbs
10.6 spring is for riders from 230 to 250 lbs

Again, these are general guidelines based on rider's regular bodyweight (no gear, no luggage) and anyone unsure of their spring choice should consult with a local motorcycle suspension specialist to get personalized recommendations.

***Please note: Removal of the rear shock on the Tuareg requires not only removal of the rear wheel but also removal of the swingarm to allow enough space for the shock to be removed from the bottom of the motorcycle (though this forum post claims that removal out the bottom of the swingarm is possible). A spring compressor tool will also be required to install this spring on your shock. If you do not have access to a rear shock spring compressor tool, you can ship your shock to us for installation of this spring by purchasing the Tuareg Rear Shock Spring Installation Service

*Please also note: The inner diameter of the stock rear spring measures 55 to 55.75 mm. The innner diamenter of this Eibach spring measures 56.5 to 57.5mm. This difference is negligible, and of no effect to the function, fit, or safe use of this sping. We're just noting it here for when someone inevitablely emails us to say we shipped them the "wrong" spring.
