If you can hear your starter motor spinning but the engine is not turning over, the sprag clutch assembly has failed.

The hard starting nature of some V990s causes a tremendous strain on this assembly. The sprag clutch is a unidirectional starting system which prevents grinding the starter. Unfortunately, this assembly is also very susceptible to damage if the starter is run over and over again while attempting to start an unwilling engine.

The installation of this assembly is an advanced operation, professional installation required.

*Please note, when Aprilia updated this part to the 2R000113 number, this part became lighter and thinner in cross section. It is still 100% compatible with the above listed bikes.
