A mud caked chain is super bad news on a bike ridden off road. So if you plan on true adventure riding your Tuareg, this part is a great way to make sure you chain remains free of debris and lasts as long as it should, and help keep your toes out of the sprocket.

This basic accessory is extremely important during Adventure-offroad use, to ensure a proper job of the chain in extreme ride conditions, and avoid an extra senescence of the transmission due to overload or dirty ride.

**Though the installation instructions in .pdf format do a good job of pointing this out, this note is so critical that we're highlighting it here as well: It is absolutely critical to use Medium Strength Threadlock Compound on the two M6x20 bolts that hold the chain slider guide tubes in place. As an Op Ed, we'd strongly consider using High Strength Threadlock Compound on these two M6x20 bolts just for added security.
